Adoption & Foster Care Conference
Join us on September 11 for the Lakepointe Adoption and Foster Care Conference! This event is for anyone, whether you are interested in fostering or adopting, are currently fostering or adopting, or simply want to know more about how to serve families in the fostering or adoption processes. Everyone has a part to play and can benefit from this incredible conference.
We will hear from keynote speaker Dominique White, worship together, and enjoy some amazing breakout sessions. Some of the breakouts will cover topics such as trauma-informed parenting, transracial parenting, hair care for children of color, domestic adoption, international adoption, foster care, adoption funding, adoption law, and many more!
Cost is $10 per person, and lunch and childcare will be provided for all who register. Registration opens July 14, so mark your calendars now!
Meet Our Keynote Speaker, Dominique White: Dominique White is a birth mom from Dallas, Texas. She placed her son, Everett, for adoption in 2016. After leaving the hospital in a closed adoption with no intention for communication, she and Everett now see each other regularly. Dominique loves using the Lord’s story of grace and redemption in her life to help others walk through the beautiful chaos of adoption. Her favorite part is sharing what adoption is to women who are facing an unplanned pregnancy and helping them make the best decision they can for the life they are carrying. She wants women to know that they are not alone, and can unite together! Dominique’s faith is important, and her birth mom community helps her cope with post-placement. She is birth mom strong!
